What to expect when building a home
Custom building the home of your dreams can be a fun and rewarding experience but it does not come without challenges; most of which can be overcome with proper management, open communication, and reasonable expectations. We want our clients to enjoy their experience and we will do everything we can to make the process go smoothly, but here are some things that you can expect to see that may cause a little stress if you are not prepared for them.
Sharing General Expectations through experience
Custom Homes are Well Worth the Wait
Your home is going to take longer to complete than it seems like it should and it will become particularly stressful when we get near the end and you are trying to sell or move out of an old house, deciding how long to rent temporary housing, or making arrangements for delivering new things to your home. Try to keep a little flexibility in your schedule. It is not uncommon to lose a few days near the end of a project.
Syncing up Schedules
There will be times when nobody is working on your house. No matter how well we schedule there are going to be times when different trade schedules just do not meet up. We will do our best to keep these to a minimum.
