The name Renaissance 7 comes from our appreciation of the Renaissance period of history. Here you have the world emerging into a time of amazing works of art and architecture; incredible advances in science and medicine; masters like da Vinci, Brunelleschi, and Michelangelo. We love the combination of old ideas and new, of art and science; the idea of reinvention, of a rebirth.
Architecture is the only art that we actually live in every day. The right design and details can have a profound impact on the quality of our lives; it is our job to get them right.

Designing and building a home is a complex process involving many specialists. Someone has to have the depth and breadth of knowledge to be able to put it all together; that’s what we do, we are the Renaissance Man.
Kurt Walker is the owner and creator of Renaissance 7. He has been involved in the design and building business for most of his life. He started designing homes at the age of 15, worked construction jobs through high school and college then later received a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas.
His first job out of college was an environmental consultant where he learned the importance and principles of green building long before it became the popular trend it is today. He also learned the value of being a great consultant; listening, understanding then helping people achieve and create with his expertise and talents. After consulting, he returned to his passion of building and has been doing so for the past 20 plus years.
Prior to starting Renaissance 7, Kurt served in upper management positions for major custom home builders in Houston and the Hill Country. He not only helped those companies achieve success but national recognition as well. He has built homes of all sizes; from small starter homes to 20,000 square foot mega mansions and has a wealth of practical experience he brings to every project.
Kurt is personally involved in every project from start to finish and serves as a consultant and advocate to help to move you through the design/build process. Our clients appreciate his straightforward easy going manner, his ability to truly understand their vision of what they want in a home and the creativity he brings to really make it special.
